ICP has been recognized with the award for “Logistics Excellence” in the XXIX edition of the CEL Awards. The Conference was held by some of the most important executives and professionals in the sector.
This Award is given to those projects related to innovation in the supply chain management of any economic sector. This year, the award has been given to ICP by the project “Digital Transformation in the Last Mile of Retail”, a success story between ICP and Worten.
Rafael Lusarreta, CEO at ICP, was in charge of collecting the prize and expressed his gratitude: “This Project has been of great importance to us. We have been involved to the maximum to design the logistics solution to meet the expectations of Worten. As a result, we have created a custom service that brings a lot of value in the deliveries in the last mile. I would like to thank the entire ICP team for their dedication and commitment, and our partner Worten, to have trusted us for this logistics challenge.”
ICP was given the award for its innovation in solving the problem of tracking and efficiency in the B2C distribution of Worten.
The improvement in operation was that Worton had no way of transmitting data in real time for the processes of reverse logistics, delivery and installation of white goods. This resulted in numerous incidents where no information was available, for example, cause of incidence, name of the carrier or state of the order itself.
Another issue was that sometimes during transportation, a product is damaged and the customer decides to return it. The Reverse Logistics in these cases is very important because it gives rise to great economic costs and also, negatively effecting the buying experience for the final customer.
Together with Worten, ICP has developed a complete and customized solution to respond to these needs. It consists of the development of a digital application that allows to check and track the whole delivery process.
This logistics improvement now allows Worten to take control at all times, this change will now allow the enhance customer loyalty. This has also acted as a cost saving of returning a product of large size.
With this project, ICP has shown its flexibility and adaptability, and has created a tool that can solve efficiency problems in transportation, in the tracking of deliveries, and in the management of costs derived from reverse logistics.
